How i found my self poor?
Things at the hospital where I work have been crazy. Census has been high. There have been days when the hospital is at capacity. The patients are either really sick or they are absolutely and certifiably nuts. Needless to say we have been insanely busy.
Most of us have been working extra shifts and extra-long days so that the staffing is adequate. Many times we are still short a nurse or a tech and we all pitch in to make the shift bearable. We have a great team of nurses and techs and we all help each other.
The administration of the hospital has taken note of all the extra hard work everyone has been putting in and decided to do something to thank all of the employees.
A couple of weeks ago, everyone received a letter from the CEO thanking us for all the hard work. And as a thank-you we would be receiving a gift card. No one gave it much thought and we pretty much chalked it up to a $20 WalMart gift card or the likes.
I went to Human Resources to pick up my card and was I ever surprised when I opened the envelope and found a VISA gift card in the amount of $100!
I called and activated that baby and put it with my Vacation Fund. That will cut a big chunk off of my gasoline bill.
I will have to admit, this company does look after its employees.
