I am delighted to write about my daughter getting a place at our desired pre-school.
In all honesty, I am desperate to home school but my husband is against this idea, I think he is a bit more mainstream than I am, and our daughter clearly thrives on spending time with children of the same age or older.
And every possible way i thougt. Of just getting more and more passionate and responsible for working and out put.
So still, we applied to one pre-school, it is the only one we liked but we are out of catchment area.
We found out just two days ago that little lady has been allocated a place and can start in September. It will be a massive change for her and she doesn't always cope well with change; I think she will be sad to leave her current play school she attends for 6 hours a week.
I am scared about losing my little girl; children change so much when they start school, I know this is just pre-school and will be very similar to her play school but it is a massive step for both her and us. I do think she will enjoy the structure of pre-school.
More than anything I hope it will be a good stepping stone for actually getting her school place there.
I think I could write about this all day, so maybe more posts to follow, but first a whole summer of good fun.
